Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge

Pretty pricey for what you get. Thin walls peeling paint and little "cabins" that feature a trek to the main lodge. It felt like the most expensive motel I have ever been to. The lodge featured two bars a restaurant, bistro and sushi bar.None of them where even close to worth the money. When you stay in the mountains a premium is payed for the view but this place really pushed the premium envelope, for a Fairmont this was disappointing.On the flip side I had nothing but fun in Jasper and at the hotel...

This hotel was fantastic. The service was great. We received free valet parking the entire weekend. The staff was so friendly and even remembered our faces. The only downside was that the restaurants in the hotel were very expensive. I would recommend driving into Jasper to eat.

The tall peaked mountains along with canyons and valleys are spectacular .

One of my favourite hotels from the Fairmont chain. A nice upgrade always lift the spirits. Outstanding room with stellar views of the lake. Very high quality room decor. Staff outstanding, as always. The widlife you encounter in and around the grounds is always a highlight of JPL.

Not a good value for the money at all. Tiny bathrooms. Room was unbearably hot and you couldn't open the windows because the porch light shined in the window all night long. Room service dirty dishes were left outside the room for more than 24 hours. The patio tables were filthy. This hotel was definitely not up to Fairmont standards and was the most disappointing stay of our 10-day Canadian trip. Construction and remodeling was also an issue. The lake is lovely, but most cottages do not have a lake view and are rather mundane. This hotel is way over priced. It gets my lowest recommendation. Try Alpine Village or Becker's instead. That's where we are going next time.
