Formerly know as the Regal Bostonian, the hotel has recently completed renovations as part of a $70 million improvement program. Located in the center of Boston on the historic Blackstone Block, there are many other places of interest nearby, such as Fanueil Hall and Quincy Market, Boston's waterfront, the New England Aquarium, Museum of Science and much more. The rooms have been kept to their original style and are comfortable and clean. The hotel has a fitness center, hot tub, business center, bar and restaurant, so is well equipped for all travellers. The staff are helpful and friendly. There is no real need for a car here as so many of the attractions are within walking distance however the hotel does offer valet parking over night until 2pm the next day for $40 plus tax.

This is a nice hotel well it will be when it is fully renovated. I was annoyed that we were not informed of the revovations when we booked as we were woken up very early in the morning by the builders outside. It is a non smoking hotel and just to warn you if you have a smoke on the balcony take away the butts as my friend was charged a $250.00 because she left butts outside. They didnt inform her and she did it again the next day and got another fine. She had a $500.00 fine on her bill going home. We felt this was very unfair as she should have been told about this after the first time. If you are booking a room here request one away from the kitchen side of the hotel as the smell of the food cooking is very awful..

It was fine strange shower layout as the water comes out the side instead of the foot of the tub, so you are wedged between the wall and the curtain. The place was under construction and our room was nice but it isn't done yet and that's why it should of been still cheaper than what we paid.
Great location.... walk everywhere and safe too.

There was some confusion at check in. Eventually we were in our rooms. (We reserved 2 rooms one single and one double.) The rooms were very clean and nice. The next morning we had breakfast in the hotel. They added food to our order and we told them so when it was brought to our table, we were told it was just garnish. My sister paid the bill and later she told me they charged $17.00 each for the $9.00 item we ordered. So watch out if you eat at the hotel.

Customer Rating:

the location is the most convenient in Boston but at the present time the rather timeworn rooms are going to be renovated. However although the hotel was not very full we were given an "internet discount" room very far from the elevator and overlooking a brick wall. A towel was placed under the window to sop up the leak. Parking is $40. per day. The facility has a bar but no breakfast and very limited food. Rooms immaculate and staff courteous. For the price, it was not worth it.

The location of the hotel is great. Right across the street from faneuil hall. The hotel was undergoing renovations when we were there, but we were not inconvenienced by it. We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and will likely do so again.
