Likes: I like the 'edgy feel' to the hotel lobby and rooms. Room size was OK, but not large. The 5 PM wine reception was a nice touch.

I asked for a quite room and was given one on the 10th floor. No street sounds were heard. Unfortunately, the quite was disturbed around 5 PM when garbage trucks were making their morning run. Were it not for this, I would rank the hotel 'very good'. But, when the front desk knew I was seeking quite, I down-graded their rating to 'somewhat lacking', for not putting me in a room on a quieter side of the building.

We attended a conference at the TD Banknorth Center and the hotel was within walking distance. The Hotel staff was excellent from the Valet to the Server at the Breakfast Buffet.
Our Room was a little small but had all the amenities we needed. No pool or spa, but a small workout room and business center.

Had a very romantic time at the Onyx. Called ahead to request flowers to be waiting for my fiances birthday. Very delightful bouquet surprised her with chocolate dipped strawberries at a very reasonable price. The room was very comfortable and the location was great. Quiet hotel and nice to see the welcome sign and treats in the foyer for canine and feline guests. One would never guess that this was a pet friendly hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and arranged and printed tickets for our sunset cruise. We went to Newport for a day and the hotel was nice enough to hold our flowers and unopened bottle of wine until our return the next day. A wonderful stay!

Yes, but be advised their restaurant is extremely limited and their are few places to eat other than pubs within walking distance.

Amenities were as expected for a hotel in this higher price range in the city. Many little extras in the room to make you feel at home. A reasonable value. Great location for events at the Garden. Nice restaurants were a short cab ride away, but many nice Irish themed bars in the neighborhood with good food available. Room size as expected for the city but very comfortable. Only two blocks from North Station and the T (subway).
